Chaos Zero Nightmare Chizuru Guide

Chizuriu is a versatile multi-hit Void DPS unit in Chaos Zero Nightmare who can defeat bosses in a single run, making her an amazing character overall. But to build her out, you need several things in place.

Chizuru Overview (Role & Technicalities)

Chizuru is a burst-type main DPS who uses Cursed Shackles mark and Will-o'-Wisp as her main resources. If we look at Chizuru, all of her abilities revolve around single-target attacks. She can control the curse art target and get Will-o'-Wisp while providing herself with a sustained ultimate skill resource and also freely switching between healing and burst attack using Shadow of Moon and Shadow of Moon+. 

Unlike most characters in RPG games, she's not just a regular DPS and burst attacker. Rather, she uses an attacking rhythm while stacking fatal combos at moments when you need them the most. 

How does Chizuru work? (Understanding Her Core Mechanics)

●Will-o'-Wisp: After you generate 5 Will-o'-Wisp, you get one Shadow of Moon card. It can be obtained when you attack enemies with a card called Cursed Shackles. 

●Cursed Shackles: One of Chizuru's main abilities, Cursed Shackles, is a single-hit target debuff. It can be applied by using the Karmic Flames card, and you can use it to mark an enemy. Each hit on the marked enemy will give you one Will-o'-Wisp. Skills with multiple hit effects can also get a lot of Will-o'-Wisp. 

●Inhabit: This ability prevents gaining AP except at the start of a turn or while defeating an enemy. Shadow of the Moon can give you an extra attack here.

Chizuru's Ideal Build

Chizuru's entire build revolves around stacking as many hits as possible to her Shadow of the Moon ability. Then you can amplify those hits with the damage buffs from different allies, which we will cover later in this article. The core team includes Chizuru, Rei, and Cassius. This is the strongest, most popular, and best combo you can get in the game. So, let's uncover the team characters one by one to see why it makes the most sense.

Rei

Rei massively increases Chizuru's burst potential, which is what we are aiming for. Thanks to her Predator's Blade, she can get high flat ATK buffs, giving Chizuru the ideal chance to go all in. Then there's Dark Condensation, which is perfect for single-turn damage boosts. Lastly, there's Snack Time, which is ideal for removing useless cards from the deck.

Cassius

He has many strengths, including the Devil Dice, which is perfect for free draws, or Joker, which is to pick specific cards like Tsukuyomi for Chizuru. Moreover, you can even use the Dice Trick and Full House Quests to aim for some extra reliable cards.

Cassius also makes Chizuru's setup ideal by giving her the exact pieces that she needs. 

Other Characters To Consider

Other than Rei and Cassius, we also have Veronica, Tressa, and Mika, who are all some of the best characters that can be paired with Chizuru. Veronica has more card draws than Cassius, while Tressa can generate Will-O'-Wisp using Shadow Daggers. She is helpful if you want Chizuru to reach burst mode faster. Mike is also solid, as this character provides healing and is ideal for any team in longer gameplay. 

Ideal Cards & Skills for Chizuru

1.Tsukuyomi

Tsukuyomi is perfect because it adds | hits Shadow of the Moon. This is also the most essential part of our build and Chizuru's kit, and you should also duplicate Tsukuyomi first before using it. The more copies of Tsukuyomi you have, the faster Chizuru can stack for her Ultimate. 

2.Oni Hunt

This skill requires one AP, and it deals multiple damage while increasing the bind card damage. Oni hunt is also the best source of consistent damage while setting your enemies up for more damage. This is also a secondary duplication candidate after you have multiple Tsukuyomi in your stack.

3.Karmic Flames

After this, we have Karmic Flames, which also cost 1 AP. This skill applies to Cursed Shackles while also regenerating itself when the enemy is defeated. Not only can Karmic Flames thin the deck, but it also ensures that you get more chances to get Tsukuyomi. 

4.Bound at Dusk

Another ideal skill for Chizuru is Bound at Desk, which takes 1 AP. This card reduces card costs after other characters use them. Moreover, this card is perfect for early game use, while it is not recommended if your team already has AP regeneration. It can also be removed using Rei's Snack Time. 

With the aforementioned cards, you can ensure getting the best possible gameplay from Chizuru while giving all the characters their best cards.

Gear Guide for Chizuru

Being the main DPS, your whole job with the gear for Chizuru is to increase her attacking power. After you get a certain level of survivability gear, your main focus should be on the perfect balance between attacking and critical attributes. 

●Black Wing Set: This is perfect as it grants +12% attack and can be found in Greed and Tenacity Dungeons.

●Offering of the Void Set: Get at least four pieces of this one because when a card is exhausted, this gear can increase the damage amount to a whopping 20% for one turn of all the void cards.

With these two gears, you'll be on your way to becoming the best possible player. 

Best Strategy for Chizuru

Since Chizuru is one of the most unpredictable characters, her gameplay isn't in a fixed card rotation, but it depends more on your team's coordination and timing. 

Here's what you should do during the stable operation phase:

Before going into Burst, use Karmic Flame to apply the Cursed Shackle mark. Here, you can also use Tsukuyomi at low cost, which will provide you with multi-hit attack cards to get more Will-O-Wisps. 

Here's what the burst preparation phase looks like:

Next up is the Burst Preparation phase, where you will rapidly get Will-o-wisp to 5 points by continually attacking the marked target whenever you can. You can even get a Shadow of the Moon card here and use Only Hunt to enhance the overall damage. 

Here's what the last and burst turn looks like:

After the bind stack reaches three or higher, you can use Shadow of the Moon +, and this will grant you high burst and even HP recovery. In other words, you are getting the benefits of both attack and defense.

Lastly, you can use Moonlight at High Tide as the finishing attack. This is something that the enemies would not see coming, and you can one-shot most bosses.
